Commemorating Memorial Day at St. Vincent de Paul

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Seattle- King County

(SVdP) recognizes and celebrates all who served our country this Memorial Day. In April of 2020, SVdP was assisted by the Washington National Guard active members. These members worked at our Georgetown Foodbank to organize, pack, and distribute food to neighbors in need. The selflessness of all service members is deeply appreciated by SVdP. We give thanks to those who have supported their country and continue to give back to their community.

Back in 2018, it was estimated around 11% of the unhoused in King County are veterans. Society of St. Vincent de Paul Council of Seattle- King works to combat this percentage by providing services to get veterans back on their feet through Case Management, Community Connectors and our Helpline teams. Thank you all for your service and Happy Memorial Day!
