2024 Children’s Day | Dia del Nino

Children’s Day | Dia del Nino is an annual event put on by Centro Rendu of St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County with the generous support of St Anthony's Catholic Parish in Renton, WA.

While many things have returned to normal since the beginning of the pandemic, there remain challenges for everyone, especially children.

Children are facing their own personal challenges with readjusting to in-person schooling, while continuing to see their parents struggle with work, health, money, isolation and loneliness.

This event brings joy to children and families in our community.

Día del Niño, is celebrated annually in Mexico on April 30th. Typically, Mexico and other Latin countries celebrate this day by hosting festivals, giving out candy and toys, and more.

Even though this tradition comes from the Latino community, we would like to emphasize that all children are welcome!

Please come to receive a gift and celebrate this special day! Toys for the first 200 children, aged 0-12 years old - plus food, traditional dances, games, face painting, and more!
