50% Off Halloween Sale–Oct. 30th!

Kent119Goblins, ghosts, witches, decorations, events, lots of family fun are the order of the day for Halloween. Here is one more event to put on your calendar—our Halloween Day Sale—Fri. Oct. 30th.  We are stocked with donations. We aren’t placing any of our items for online sales or auctions—everything goes into our stores for sale for shoppers. Running thrift stores to support our mission with resources to help people has always been a key cornerstone of St. Vincent operations. And please note that the 50% off is not valid on beds, frames and items with purple tags.

We opened our first thrift store, then called the Salvage Bureau, at 2332 First Avenue, right at the intersection with Battery Street, on April 1, 1926. This first store did $3,907 in sales in its first seven months of operation and gave away $1,594 in goods to 69 families. That is our tradition, using store sales proceeds to helpcostume4 people.

And remember this. In addition to last minute items for your Halloween celebration, we also have lots and lots of dishes, clothing, housewares, sports equipment, shoes, picture frames and thousands of other items.

We now have five thrift stores in the greater Seattle area: North Seattle (Aurora), Burien, Kenmore, Kent and Renton. Addresses and phone numbers are below.
