“Kenmore is a special place for our organization. We are proud of the work we have done in the community and the community has been very good to us. It is our largest donation center in all of King County, collecting 200 cars with donations per day,” noted Mirya Munoz Roach, Executive Director of SVdP.SVdP has had a thrift store in Kenmore since 2000. Additionally, the Kenmore thrift store has a spectacular History of Kenmore Mural on its west wall, a 188- foot art project that was completed in the fall of 2016.
The City of Kenmore asked St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle King County (SVdP) to partner with them in an agreement to create a mural on the West wall of the SVdP thrift store in Kenmore at 7304 NE Bothell Way. The idea for the mural grew out of a city project called For the Love of Kenmore, which involved residents in workshops and discussions about suggesting ideas to make the city more vibrant and fun. We are very proud that our 188 foot West facing wall of our thrift store in Kenmore features this extraordinary piece of artwork!
