St. Vinnie’s Is Greener!

St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle|King County has received the “Greener” designation from the city of Seattle, certifying the agency has implemented a number of actions to reduce waste and help keep our environment clean.

The program is called Green Your Business, a strategy that encourages businesses and organizations to cut waste, save water, reduce pollution through actions the organization and its employees can take. As your business or organization develops Green plans and implements them through an online portal, the City of Seattle rates the actions as Green, Greener or Greenest and certifies your designation by placing you on a map along with other organizations who have elected to be rated.

Help us keep our landfills free of your unwanted clothing, household goods, electronics, and furniture by donating gently-used items at our seven drop off centers (Aurora, Burien, Renton, Kent, Kenmore, and Seattle).
