We are pleased to share some wonderful news with all of you.
Last fall we created a TV commercial in cooperation with Comcast TV for our 2018 Christmas Appeal Campaign. We learned in May of 2019 that we had won a national award for this work. The award is a Telly Award, a big national TV creative competition that attracts entrants from all over the U.S.
We won in the general TV Branded Content Category. We won a Silver, which is second place. This is a national award and not a local award.
The award is for a 30-second TV commercial that explains how St. Vincent de Paul in Seattle/King County helps reduce homeless through home visits.
The commercial utilized footage shot by Chris Taylor of Adventus Films—the film producer with whom we worked on this commercial and on our 2018 Blue Dress Breakfast video.
It is exceptionally good footage of a home visit and other key points about SVdP work.
