Operation Veteran Renewal
Operation Veteran Renewal is a program for returning veterans designed by St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle|King County. Our mission is to work with Veterans and advocate for them to obtain the services they deserve. We support Veterans in establishing coping strategies, maintaining resiliency, identifying strengths and transferring skills, and creating a new purpose and a renewed sense of community.
St. Vincent de Paul will provide case management and other kinds of services to vets who are experiencing difficulty returning to civilian life. We help everyone, regardless of discharge status. That is a unique feature of working with St. Vincent de Paul. We treat all of the people we work with this way. Second, we will assist Veterans in taking a look at their entire situation, not just one or two barriers that are impeding their transition.

We have a straightforward motto that guides our work. We say “when people need us, we will be there.” And that is what we mean. As a result, Operation Veteran Renewal is designed to support Veterans. We offer a special counseling service as part of our work. And we provide Veterans with referrals to our partnering agencies. We thoroughly assess the barriers Veterans are encountering, work with them to establish goals, and guide them on implementing an action plan to secure success. We work with Veterans at a pace that will create stability and success.
