Helping Our Homeless Neighbors
Today, our Georgetown Food and Clothing Bank served 1,676 people today, including 105 homeless people. When our homeless neighbors visit the Food Bank, they often need food that is high in protein and does not require any cooking.
Our homeless guests usually only want to take with them what they can carry, so we provide special non-cook bags for them.
If you’re thinking about donating food to St. Vincent de Paul this fall and winter, please consider giving canned meats and fish, such as tuna, chicken, salmon, and spam.
Another great item to donate is bulk trail mix. We take the bulk produce and divide it into smaller containers for multiple guests. If you’d like more information about donating to our food bank, please visit our Food Bank Donation page.
