EVIDENCE-BASED CASE MANAGEMENT

Our Case Managers utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, evidence- based approaches to case management that demonstrate proven results in generating positive participant outcomes. These therapies focus on changing an individual’s negative thoughts into more positive thinking, creating constructive behavioral patterns and outcomes with the goal of self-sufficiency.

WE PROVIDE SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES

Case Managers also arrange for other services including motel vouchers, bus tickets, food, union dues, footwear, beds, and other aid. With your help, we solicit in-kind assistance from Food Lifeline, King County Metro Transit and other partners, and this ensures that Case Managers have these resources.

CREATE NEW BEGINNINGS

Your donation will assist needy neighbors with Case Management services designed to help them access benefits, secure employment, permanent housing, education and other services that lead to self-sufficiency.

Maria, one of our Centro Rendu clients, has been the recipient of SVDP services and is now headed toward independence:

Maria was born in Mexico and came to the United States 14 years ago, moving to Washington State in the fall of 2011. She is married and has three children between the ages of nine years and two months. She began her education training with Centro Rendu, St.Vincent de Paul’s Hispanic Educational program in the summer of 2013.

Her focus has been on ESL classes, math and social studies and her English is progressing. SVdP was also able to assist Maria’s family to avoid eviction through an emergency grant, enabling them to get on their feet and continue their education.

She has also received marriage counseling and groceries from our Food Bank. Her goal is to strengthen her English, get her GED, and attend Seattle Central Community College. Her longer term goal is to work in social services and help others.
