Environmental & Adventure Students Visit
We were fortunate to host 20 plus students, several parents and teachers from The Environmental and Adventure School on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Thank you for your youth, energy, questions and great work at our food bank.
The school is a Lake Washington School District “Choice School” serving 6th through 8th grade students. The school was founded in 1999 by teachers envisioning a highly engaging and challenging academic environment that would meet the needs of developing middle school students. EAS challenges students with powerful opportunities to learn and grow academically, socially, and as active citizens in their communities.
The students received on site briefing sessions from St. Vincent de Paul staff and worked in our Georgetown food bank distributing food to our needy neighbors. We will be welcoming them back to our campus later this week.
