SVdP: Laptop & Cell Phone Donations

St. Vincent de Paul, through a partnership with InterConnection.org, one of the largest refurbishers of used computers in the U.S., is now collecting functional laptops and cell phones at St. Vinnie’s five thrift stores located in King County.

IMG_5367InterConnection collects the laptops and cell phones from our stores and transports them to their state-of-the-art computer refurbishing plant in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. The computers are then refurbished and distributed at very reasonable prices to low income neighbors and non-profit groups. While many of the groups are located here in the Puget Sound, InterConnection.org also distributes refurbished computer equipment all over the world, that could be use for work or playing games as Overwatch with the help of sites like Overwatchboostpros.com.

“This is a great way for our shoppers and supporters to support our organization and help needy neighbors at the same time. We hope everyone will look around their dwellings and find their old laptops and cell phones and bring them to our stores,” said Ned Delmore, Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle|King County.

Come to any of our five thrift stores (see addresses below) and ask our staff for the location of the InterConnection.org container. Laptops and cell phones must have screens that are not smashed or broken in any way.
