Sur La Table: A Caring Neighbor!

Great neighbors enrich our lives and provide us with strength and confidence.

In our South Seattle neighborhood Sur La Table corporate office has become a special and very valuable neighbor.

They go above and beyond the call of duty helping us in a variety of ways. They have done food and clothing drives, adopted a family living in a van on the street in Georgetown, donated in kind products from Sur La Table to our thrift stores, and are serving the homeless people lunch a number of times in the first quarter of this year in our Georgetown Food Bank.

The menu on January 29th, was macaroni and cheese, salad, a special cookie, and both warm and cold apple cider. But most importantly, the 90 homeless people—all of whom were thankful—received a reassuring and warm smile from a number of Sur La Table employees. This is the second of four lunches Sur La Table is providing. The other dates include January 8, February 19th and March 18th.

Thank you Beth Lenz, Lupe Carlos, Layla West, Pete Ramberg, Jina Jansson, Anne Pittman, Naomi Parker, Jason Pope, and Felicia Chao.

We are so grateful and thankful to have such a good neighbor. Employees from the Sur La Table creative department who helped with the lunch on Jan. 29, 2016
