Disabled Vet Continuing Her Education
Victoria is a disabled veteran. Her disability is unrelated to her service, but she has trouble moving around and performing physical labor. As a result, she is returning to school to study Esthetics, which she feels will help her find employment more suitable to her disability. She had some unexpected expenses come up and was short on her rent and received an eviction notice. Victoria was very worried she’d lose her housing, just when she felt things were working out for her. She was able to borrow a small amount from a friend, and St. Vincent de Paul was able to pay the final $125 to prevent eviction and keep her moving towards her goal of self-sufficiency.
