SNAP Rapid Response Announcement

On October 30th, the City of Seattle declared an emergency response following the recent freeze of SNAP food support, which has caused fear and anxiety for affected families across King County who depend on these funds to supplement their groceries each week.

Thanks to the emergency funds provided through the Mayor's proclamation, the SVdP Georgetown Food Bank has been able to procure additional food supplies, and we are immediately expanding our hours of operation to make sure no family goes hungry during this extended lapse of government services.

If you or someone you know relies on SNAP, or is struggling to make ends meet for any reason, please come to the Georgetown Food Bank this week - we are here for you.

We would also welcome additional volunteers to help distribute food during our extended hours - if you can volunteer between 11am-2pm on Tuesday, November 11th or on Saturday, November 15th, please email LisaH@SVDPSeattle.org
