Help for Maui
The Lahaina wildfires have drastically effected Maui leaving many without food, water, clothing, housing, and other basic essentials.
St. Vincent de Paul has always been dedicated to helping neighbors who need it most and with your support, we can continue to provide person-to-person recovery services to families impacted by disasters across the United States.
There are many ways to help with disaster relief efforts in Maui. Visit SVdP USA Disaster Services www.svdpdisaster.org or the Disaster Relief Fund through National SVDP https://ssvpusa.org/donate/ to learn more.
Another way to support our neighbors effected by the Lahaina fires is by donating directly to the SVdP Conference in Hawaii.
A Message from the Oahu, Hawaii Conference President, Melodie Sasaki.
Our Windward Oahu Conference is the only St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Hawaii. As Vincentians, we respond to people in need wherever they live.
Calls for help and requests for assistance come from the whole state, including Maui. If you want to help us help the residents of Maui, our Society will welcome your donation. We’ll earmark it to be used specifically for Maui requests and rebuilding. We have set up a separate financial record just for Maui receipts and disbursements. The need is great and calls for assistance may span the next few years or more as residents rebuild their homes.
