Thank You Boeing Volunteers!
Boeing Cares: Volunteers at Georgetown Food Bank!
When Boeing says they care, they mean it. They are huge community partners for all the non-profits in King County and we honor and value their work with us. We think it was Tom Brokaw who said: It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference. Boeing and their employees make a difference. Big time!
On November 12, we had a group of eight Boeing employees at our Georgetown Food Bank from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They worked the entire shift and helped serve over 400 people. It is an inspiring and compassionate place to volunteer. One of the employees told us: “thank you so much for the volunteer opportunity today. We surely learned a lot from all of the volunteers and the neighbors. We are glad to can contribute to our community.”
We want to thank you all, from left to right in the photo Rachel Pound, Michael Dracobly, Adam Larson (Manager of the team visiting SVdP), Jifar Wakjira, Jie Wang, Lynne Brandt (Senior Manager), Brian Boznak and Carrie Mikasa (she is not in the photo, but was there). (The gentleman in the hat is a regular volunteer at our Georgetown Food Bank.)
