St. Philomena Students Volunteer

Last week, sixth graders from St. Philomena School toured SVdP and volunteered at our Georgetown Food Bank.

One student wrote to us after the field trip, “I had a great time. The poor was so happy. It was just great. That food really helped them, they were so glad that you are there for them. All the programs that you have are really helping them.”

Another student wrote, “I loved to see the kind of people who come in and especially loved to help them. It really showed me what kind of people come into a food bank and that their just like us.”

We are grateful that these kind and caring students volunteered in our food bank to serve our neighbors in need.

Thank you, St. Philomena sixth graders!
