Nicky Sells Cookies to Help the Poor

Second grader, Nicky Mills, was asked to do a community project in his class at Lakeridge Elementary. When Nicky was asked what kind of charity he would like to benefit from his hard work, he said a charity that helps families and old people who are homeless or are hungry and don’t have enough food.

With his mom, Heather, he baked cookies and sold those cookies to his neighbors. He donated the proceeds of his cookie sales — $166.05 — to St. Vincent de Paul. This donation could easily help a family prevent homelessness by paying their rent or keep a family’s water turned on in their home. Thank you so much, Nicky, for your generosity.
