Keep The Lights On!

One of our home visit teams recently visited Maria. She had three children including a little baby, and two older siblings. She spoke very little English, but enough that our home visit team could prioritize her needs. Her husband, an undocumented worker, picked up odd jobs here and there, but they lived in fear he would be deported.

They had run out of money. Their landlord presented them with an eviction notice. Maria said they had just a few dollars left for some food.

Their eldest daughter Elise embraced her mom Maria as she began to cry. Because of you, Maria and her family were able to get the rent paid, keep the lights on and the heat running. You made a difference in the life of this family.
