A Mom with Two Teens Gets Help

Rachel is a single mom with two teens. She has a part time job but is scheduled very few hours weekly and has a lot of trouble getting by. Her rent is subsidized, but she pays all utilities and is very behind on her electric bill. She owed over $1,000 and had no way to pay this amount, or even the half necessary to prevent immediate shut off. After exhausting all other resources, Rachel turned to SVdP.
