A Meet with Heart

One of our Food Bank volunteers, Mariah, is organizing “A Meet with Heart” at Pacific Raceways to benefit SVdP for her Senior Project. Mariah is a senior at Tahoma High School and attends Bellevue College as a running start student. Mariah began volunteering at the SVdP Georgetown Food Bank more than a year ago:

“I instantly fell in love with helping others in my community. I love seeing those who we’ve helped walk out the door with a smile on their face. Knowing that I impacted any one person’s day positively is a successful day for me. Additionally, I love the atmosphere at the food bank – the employees, the volunteers, and all the others that come through.”

Outside of school, Mariah has a passion for cars. She loves working on her car and seeing the progress of others’ she even got an special road risk insurance from insurance4motortrade.co.uk/road-risk-insurance/ for when she’s out driving it. For her Senior Project, Mariah decided to combine her love of cars and volunteering to organize a car meet at Pacific Raceways to benefit St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle|King County. Thank you, Mariah!
