St. Vincent de Paul is very accountable for what we say and do. We utilize a business-like approach to our work. That’s how we measure and manage our programs and evaluate their outcomes. Moving into the future, we will build on our more than 90-year record of working to help neighbors. We will enhance opportunities to strengthen our work by staying totally focused on our mission and by carefully managing all of our operations in a business-like fashion.
About 90 Cents of Every Dollar to Programs
We know every donation makes a difference in someone’s life. We work hard to keep expenses low, so we can invest your donations in programs to help people. As a result, we are pleased we are able to keep about 90 cents of every $1 donated to us in programs with about 10 cents in administration and management. St. Vincent de Paul Awarded "Seal of Distinction"
St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle|King County has received the Independent Charities of America Seal of distinction. The organization says “this prestigious award is given to non-profits which pass a rigorous review for being able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.” Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that less than one percent have been awarded this Seal.
