We join with our partners at the Office of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Seattle in welcoming everyone to the 2018 Special Olympics in Seattle between July 1 and 6, 2018.
There are several special events you may wish to consider:
- Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Special Olympics Mass for Athletes, Families & Friends. The Mass will be held at the University of Washington in Kane Hall, Room 130.
- Sunday, July 1 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mile Long Cheer Line at Husky Stadium celebrating the arrival of Special Olympics athletes to the event.
Remember the Special Olympics Athlete’s Oath, which was first introduced by Eunice Kennedy Shriver at the inaugural Special Olympics International Games in Chicago in 1968. It reads: “Let Me Win. But If I Cannot Win, Let Me Be Brave In The Attempt.”
