Since opening Centro Rendu in Kent mid-July of 2013 the center has served hundreds of people with Spanish Literacy, Primary and Secondary Education, GED preparation, Conversational English, Computer Literacy, Emergency Assistance, Financial Literacy, Workshops on Parenting, Communication, Cultural Identity, and at-risk behavior for youth 12-18. Basic Counseling and referrals services along with Immigration Legal Counseling and Services, and Case Management in Spanish, Advocacy, Home-Visits, and other support services.
Three keys component of the Centro Rendu education and resource center for the Latino community in South King County include:
- Culture specific Case Management services where a detailed assessment tool has been implemented for relevant referrals to other service agencies and to support a successful path toward self-sufficiency for each individual and family.
- Adult Basic Education in Spanish for those with limited English Proficiency
- Legal Services (counseling, referrals, and DACA and Naturalization document preparation) with BIA Accredited representative on-site
