Shop at Amazon to Support Our Neighbors in Need

November 23, 2013 By AdminSVdP

St. Vincent de Paul needs your help and without having to specifically give money or goods, you can help in a significant way – by shopping on Amazon. While you are doing your Amazon.com shopping this holiday season, please consider using this specific link to access the Amazon website http://amzn.to/1cHQcz3.

Shop at Amazon
to Support our Neighbors in Need

SVdP is an Amazon Affiliate, which means that of every purchase made through our unique portal (http://amzn.to/1cHQcz3), we receive 4% of the total purchase. It may seem like an insignificant amount, but consider this: If 100 people shop on Amazon through our portal (http://amzn.to/1cHQcz3) and spend $25 each, we get $100 from our Amazon Affiliate account.

test2And, what can $100 do to change a neighbor’s life? A family living in subsidized housing often only needs about $100 to pay their rent and prevent eviction. With your regular purchases on Amazon, you can help keep a family in their home or keep the heat and water on for our struggling neighbors.

Just this week, SVdP helped a grandmother caring for her four grandchildren after the recent deaths of both of her adult children. This family had a shut-off notice and needed $100 to keep their heat and lights on in their home. On her limited income, this was an obstacle that she could not overcome without a helping hand from St. Vincent de Paul. Please help us help our struggling neighbors.

St. Vincent de Paul helped over 200,000 people in King County last year with rent, food security, and utility and water bill assistance, and other vital social services. When people need help, St. Vincent de Paul will be there.
